Research Day Abstract Submissions
We are currently accepting Abstracts for the University of Toronto, Division of Gastroenterology, GI Research Day which will be held June 7, 2017 at the University Club. Abstracts will be reviewed and selected for both poster and oral presentations. The deadline for abstract submission is Friday April 28, 2017.
Poster should not be larger than 3 feet high by 6 feet wide. Oral presentations will be 10 min in length (max 15 slides), followed by a 3 minute question period. AV equipment will be provided. If you require further details you may contact Dr. Nazia Selzner and Dr. Jordan Feld or their assistant Eliverta Bicja. Presenters must use the AV equipment provided – it will not be possible to use your own laptop.
The best basic science and clinical research abstracts will receive awards which will include a gift of $100. The Research Awards will be presented at the dinner.
Abstracts should be original work in the field of digestive diseases. The abstract text should not exceed 500 words (excluding the abstract heading) and should be organized according to the following: background/objectives, methods, results and conclusions. Only students, residents and fellows are eligible to submit abstracts; faculty are not permitted to present but are asked to encourage their students, residents and fellows to submit. Only submit an abstract if you will be available to present your work at GI Research Day (June 7, 2017 afternoon).
